… journey to the babies!

nyc
Hey guys!!

Thank you again (so much) for following us, supporting us, and loving on us through this process. We absolutely appreciate each and everyone of you who comment, like, text, email, pray, etc, etc, etc – we notice you, we love you, and NEED every bit of your support!!

Although, we will be posting quite a bit on the homepage of the blog, we wanted to dedicate a seperate page specifically for our babies and our road to them.

On this page, you will find a plethora of info that will contantly be updated as we journey to our babies!!
One of the info pieces that will be featured on this page is our adoption timeline, similiar to the timeline I worked on while we were going through fertility. We’ll have requests for specific prayer needs, various ways to join in our efforts (keep your eyes peeled!!), and video’s of what we’re doing in the moment.

How we got off the fertility treatment train….
Six months after Thomas I were married (summer 2010), we decided that we wanted to get pregnant the next summer (2011). So, off we went to have a chat with my doctor. Due to girlie history, she thought it would be wise to have a couple of procedures to check me out and go from there. We thought that was a great idea and decided to start all of that the following year. Around April of 2011, we met with a highly recommended endocrinologist who was absolutely wonderful and had the best bedside manner! Fast forward through a 2 procedure in 1 surgery, 3 failed IUI’s and a very difficult 2011 & 2012 – here we are.

I had no idea that there were people around us praying for me…. praying that my heart was changed towards adoption. I DID NOT WANT TO ADOPT, it was not even an OPTION. A friend of mine asked me about adopting early on in our baby journey and I really just was not on board. I want our OWN babies that looked like us and “came” with little bits of our personalities and idiosyncrasies. But, thank God. I mean, I am THANKFUL for this experience. THANKFUL that we have the opportunity to expand our family by inviting a little person WHO NEEDS US into our hearts and home. How silly I was to be so closed minded and limited to only desiring biological children. I’m almost embarassed to say that.
But, thanks to God, here we are.

Road to our Babies Timeline
I moved our adoption timeline to the previously written timeline (check the tab on the menu bar)!! Trying to make things as seamless as possible!!

We need your prayers!!
Adoption, from what we hear, is not for the faint of heart and is COSTLY – both financially and emotionally.
Through this process we will be needing your prayers and support! We will keep our prayer requests updated as our timeline evolves and things happen throughout this journey. So, please, while you are spending time in prayer or with God, keep us in mind!

Same here! Prayer updates will be on the “Our Prayers” tab on the menu bar!!

Thank you all for everything you have already done!!
